Roast beef roll with horseradish

The sun isn’t shining, but it is warm, and definitely muggy. I am meeting friends for a surprise birthday / farewell that starts at Borough Market, and works its way to Greenwich when we decide we need sustenance before walking to the first secret location, the Tate.  While looking for the hog roast man, the baguette shop / hole in the wall happened across our path first.

Roast turkey, beef, pork, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, horseradish, tabouli – and fresh baguettes. While my coming back to London ritual is always a roast turkey roll with stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce, today is a beef day, with horseradish and gravy. Rich gravy, the right kind of thick, like it would fall slowly off a spoon and the horseradish was enough to shock your sinuses without overpowering.
